| Today's hike will be a going out from the junction of Pine Creek and Deer Park roads. Plan on 10+ miles of on road, trail and bushwhacking with a bit of exploratory thrown in to keep things interesting. Loppers or gloves to remove the debris are welcome. We will depart the trailhead at 9:00 AM promptly and will be returning to the cars by 2:30ish. Adventure Pass or equivalent will be necessary for parking. Trailhead Directions: Exit I-8 at Pine Valley and go under the bridge to the junction with old Hwy 80. Turn left at the stop sign and go approximately 1 mile and take a sharp right onto Pine Creek road. Go approximately 5.1 miles from this turn, which will take you past the Noble Canyon trailhead parking lot, through several gates, past the wide turnout area to your right where we have parked on several hikes and continue up the mountain to the split between Pine Creek Road and Deer Park Road. The parking area is under a large oak tree on your left just before a sharp curve and another gate. 8:00 Mission Valley Car Pool | |
